Kibler Valley River Run – July 27, 2013

Join Troublesome Creek at the Kibler Valley River Run, Saturday, July 27, 2013!

From the Red Bank Ruritans website:

This is an annual event sponsored by the Red Bank Ruritan Club. The race takes place the 4th Saturday of July. $25.00 gets you a T shirt, a number and a shuttle to the top. Race starts by an official countdown and single boat release. Boats are released every 5 minutes. You may make as many runs as you like. You may also enter multiple classes. The river drops 296 feet in 5 miles, and 100 feet of it in the first mile. The first .5 miles has 3 rapids called Powerhouse Rapid, Public Enemy # 1, and Basketball Falls. This is a very beautiful location. A good intermediate + run. Also there is food, boat and equipment vendors on site. Usually a Blue Grass Group playing at the finish too. Kids can also be seen along the route in tubes. The road follows most of the run, and you cross under 3 bridges. Fun for all !!!!
